Short codes

A short code is a memorable keyword that connects people to one of your flows. Instead of sharing a long link or complicated instructions, you give out a short code — when someone uses it, Hop starts the matching flow for them.

Why short codes?

  • Memorable — easy to print on a poster, say on the radio, or share in a message.
  • Routable — each short code maps to a specific flow, so the right experience starts every time.
  • Flexible — retire or repoint a short code as your flows change.

Setting up a short code

  1. Publish the flow you want people to reach (see Creating flows).
  2. Create a short code and point it at that flow.
  3. Share the short code with your audience.

When someone uses the short code in WhatsApp, Hop launches the linked flow and guides them through it.
